Who are We

Peace Valley Ranch Limited was incorporated in 1965 and is privately and family held to date. We have been ranching for 40 years with such diverse businesses as Cow/Calf production, Beef Side Sales and Rawhide Adventures Inc. keeping life exciting out here!

Our Retail Experience

In 1989 we were the first Ontario ranch to retail with a major grocery chain. Miracle Food Mart stores took us on and we supplied a part of their meat counter with our own product, PEACE VALLEY PREMIUM BEEF. We are likely the only operation to have gone into 52 retail outlets in Ontario and Quebec with our trusty frying pan and cooked samples of our beef for customers. We were good producers before that summer of 1989 and we have continued to better our production with the help of customer input. We listened to what hundreds of customers said and have produced a consistently tender and flavourful, moderately sized and naturally raised beef ever since.  

Through the '90s we continued to supply our own retail customer base wuth some pretty fantastic beef.   Early in 2000, we got a little creative and offered smaller (40 and 20 lb) Beef Boxes - like the PVR Premium Grilling or Roasting boxes which was met with some favour.

In 2010 we listened to our customers and switched our finishing ration to Grass Finished (as opposed to a 100 day corn ration).   Grass Fed and Finished being a healthier less fatty choice.  With particular genetics we can produce the best beef for your family to enjoy.

Where Are We

Our Ranch is located on top of the Niagara Escarpment in the beautiful high hills of Mulmur township overlooking the Pine River Valley. Our idyllic setting 1.5 hours north of Toronto’s Pearson Airport, is prime for raising Peace Valley Ranch Premium Beef.

Our Word on Organics

We pride ourselves in producing a truly wholesome product that you can enjoy with peace of mind. We adhere to very strict health and production protocols and the many riders through Rawhide Adventures Inc. that have come up to see the cows and calves out on pasture, or in their winter yards, can attest to their healthy sheen and free roaming attitude. We have marketed our beef as a "Natural Beef" for more than 15 years. Even though the Ranch was certified organic in 1988, the beef is not because we use iodine on the navel of the newborn calf and vaccinate the mothers so that their colostrum is the best it can be for the newborn babe. Neither practice is accepted by the OCIA, Organic Crop Improvement Association, the certifying body whose guidelines we follow.  That being said, our beef is:

• Grass Finished
