So you really want to come riding with us! Here is some information about how it works at Rawhide Adventures!

Hours of Operation

We are open mainly Year-Round - Closed the month of November, for Christmas and for Calving Season

Booking Your Ride

We will try and get to know you even before you come out to the Ranch. We will ask you for some very important pieces of information so that we can ensure that we have the most suitable horse for your ride. We need to know your Age, Height, Weight, and Riding Experience. To better determine your Riding Experience, here is our scale:

• Greenhorn: Never Touched a Horse
• Beginner: Ridden on a couple of Trail Rides, used to ride, went to summer camp...
• Intermediate: Takes riding lessons,rides once a week OR may even have own horse but only rides once or twice a week
• Advanced: Owns own horse, rides every day, simply cannot be without horses!

We have some pretty great horses. They are schooled in different aspects of ranch work and pleasure riding and will match up to your level; even challenge you if you so wish. We take single riders, especially the less confident ones, to groups of eight. We don't mix bookings, you book the time and it is yours exclusively. We prefer to ride side by side and not trail ride one behind the other, (as terrain and the skill of the participants allow).

How to Pay

We accept:

• VISA and MasterCard
• Cash
• Personal Cheques (made payable to Rawhide Adventures Inc.)
• We DO NOT accept Debit Cards yet...

We expect a 50% deposit in order to book your date followed by the balance on the day of your reservation.

If paying by credit card, we will process your deposit payment over the phone

If paying by cheque, your cheque can be mailed to us. We will hold your date giving you first right of refusal should someone come along before your cheque arrives!

Once your deposit is processed, the reservation is yours!

Our Cancellation Policy

Sometimes weather wreaks havoc on all our best intentions; however please let us be the judge of what weather is bad!

The weather up here can be way better than what you are experiencing. We ride in most conditions (except snowstorms, torrential downpours and lightening!) and we will provide you with an outback coat if necessary.

If you really must cancel: Please call us and let us know 48 hours in advance of your booking otherwise you will lose your deposit! 

What to Wear...

Please! Choose your attire carefully - this can affect your comfort!

• Comfortable jeans are the best choice
  • PLEASE! No shorts, Capri pants or pants made of silky/nylon material please!
• Boots with a small heel is preferred
  •  A good running shoe is better than hiking boots or fashion boots.
  • PLEASE wear socks that cover your ankles!!
• We do a lot of bush riding so long sleeved shirts are the best
• Women - please  consider a sport bra
• Men - do not wear boxer shorts - you will be soary oops sorry!
• Remember to outfit yourself with a top fitting for the season. 
• We provide helmets – you can bring your own if you have one

Other Ranch Life Anecdotes…

When visiting, please note that a working Ranch has its own environment. For everyone’s safety consider the following:

• Please drive slowly, you never know where the next bull might come from.
• Park in the designated area. That way we can ensure the survival of your car in case of stampeding cattle or runaway farm machinery
• Bring your minors, but please provide a mature chaperone for their stay. Their safety and behavior is your responsibility.
• The mother cow's protective instinct is only equaled by yours. Inherently they consider dogs their mortal "wolf like" enemy. Please keep yours in the vehicle or, after checking with us, on a leash.
• Let us know beforehand if you have any medical problems that might require special knowledge from our trail boss.
• There is plenty of opportunity to enjoy the privileges of being 19 or older, but never before we ride.
• Curiosity finally killed the cat. Please allow us to show you around.
• Remember, the only embarrassing question is the one not asked.
